Greenfest

I have just come across an event that is being held in Brisbane from the 5-7 June, Greenfest.

Looks like alot of FREE fun to be had so if you are in Brisbane be sure to mark the date on your calendar.

I will probably post some more about this festival as the time gets closer so watch this space!

Thanks Kat!

I am proud to say that a wonderful friend, Kat has given me a blog award *hugs*

Here are the details of what I have won:

Proximidade is described as:'This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes for self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!'

This blog award should be sent to your favorite eight bloggers and they, in turn should forward to eight of their favorites. You should include the text for Proximidade (above) in your announcement blog.

So I am passing this along to (I think that some may have already recieved this award but I love you too) Kylie, Ewe'nique Designs, Bek, Donna, Lesley, & Mel.

Sorry only 6 Blogs to pass onto as only new to blogging. These blogs are ones I check regularily for inspiration and motivation. I am starting to get back into sewing and craft and they always have great ideas and ideas to get the juices running. Thanks girls and thanks again to Kat for the award!

Keep the ball rolling ladies :)

First day of Kindy

I just dropped Chloe off at her first day of Kindy. She has been very excited about being a big three year old and going to big school. This morning she has been buzzing around and asking every 5 minutes if it was time to go.

Some pics of before we left (had to do something to pass the time)

And some photos of her settling into her new classroom

I am so proud of how brave and amazing she was this morning. Hope you have a great day baby girl.

Love Mummy.

Another wee

So proud of my little girl, tonight she did her second wee on the potty!

Lately she has been showing an interest in pointing to her nappy when she has wet or poo'd and going to her bedroom to be changed so we have put the potty out and get her to sit on the potty each night before bath. The very first night we did this she did a wee and was so proud and tonight, about a week later, has done another. YAY now I am assured it is not just a one off. She is such a clever little girl and just a wonder to witness her growing and developing alongside her sister.

So proud of you my baby girl Savannah.

Cupcakes

Yesterday my sister and I made cupcakes together and tested out my new piping bags and nozzles. We made a batch of vanilla cupcakes and turned the large ones into lemon meringue cupcakes by spooning out some of the centre of the cupcake and adding a dolop of homemade lemon curd and topping them with two egg whites that had been stiffly beated with 1/2 cup of castor sugar. Then piped that on and baked for about 5 mins or until slightly coloured. They taste amazing. I got the recipe for these yummy treats from the cupcake queen herself, Lesley.

The baby ones we just topped with strawberry flavoured buttercream icing. Think it needed a little more icing sugar in it though as the icing is a bit too glossy and looks bit oily but the girls love them.

So here are some pics of the cupcakes.

Happy Birthday Chloe!

Albeit a little late for my post I wanted to blog the celebration of Chloe's third birthday.

It has been two days of celebrations. On Friday the celebrations started off with a play with lots of her little friends at a local playcentre and then topped off with dinner at her favourite restaurant, Sizzler, with family. She was extremely spoilt by everyone. The following day the festivities continued with a visit to the pool, then a street BBQ with more swimming and playing and more cake. We all then had a little seista before heading out to a summer buzz festival at Springfield Lakes where the girls loved watching the DORA live concert, riding on the train, having fish and chips for dinner and then kicking up our heels to an awesome live band. We all grooved along to the music and enjoyed an icecream before sitting back and enjoying some wonderful fire works. I use to not be able to take my eyes off the sky when watching fire works now I tend to spend the time wathcing my girls faces as their eyes light up at the amazing sight.

It truely was a great two days but we are extrememly exhausted for it also.

Here is something that I put together of some photos from Chloe's birthday dinner at Sizzler. There are so many more photos from the weekend but will have to come back for that.

Can it really be?

This morning it finally hit me that my baby girl will be turning 3 tomorrow. Around this time 3 years ago whilst having a well deserved rest after a long walk around the shopping centre I felt an unfamiliar trickling feeling. Chloe was not due for another two weeks (EDD 10th February 2006) so off to the hospital we went. After being monitored at the hosptial for several hours it was decided that I would go home and sit tight and see what happened overnight. Being my first pregnancy I was very anxious and worried and exited all at the same time. Scared at the prospect of the impending labour but so excited to finally meet our beautiful baby.

I will come in tomorrow at some stage and share more of my memories from Chloe's arrival 3 years ago.

A challenge for me

I am teaching myself how to use photoshop CS5 at the moment and having so much fun so I am going to try and challenge myself to take more photos of my gorgeous girls and family and have fun with that. Here are a couple of photos I took yesterday :)

Life's Little Miracles

A dear friend of mine delivered ber baby by cesarean section today. Her little man is almost 7 weeks early but he has proven to be such a strong little man already (just like his mumma). They have named him Benjamin Lawrence and weighing in at an amazing 5lb 2oz. I am in absolute awe at this little man and his amazing family.

Such little miracles really makes you reevaluate your own life and family and how the little things really are not to be taken lightly and to make the most of every day and every moment.

Love to you all PJ's!

I'm back!

It has been a while since i have blogged. This time round I am going to focus on family life and our journey through life together.
